Construction & Deconstruction
The structure uses low carbon construction techniques and materials; srew pile foundations, UK grown Douglas Fir structural timber and Larch timber cladding.
The structure is built off-site in modules, and lifted into place, reducing time on site to two days. The modules are fixed together with screws and bolts which allow for ease of disassembly at the end of the structure’s life.
The untreated timber is safe for inhabitants, and can be easily reused, recycled or composted at the end of the building’s life.

In Use
The structure will be supplemented with internal habitat boxes, and monitored with trail cameras throughout 2026.
